I called my boss today and informed her that I am having my meds seen to and that my workplace clues were: forgetting to turn in timecard and getting lost-- every day. The teaching part has not yet suffered. I have not forgotten to take attendance or prepare lessons, for instance. I am fortunate to have an understanding boss. And really awesome co-workers. I was not going to say anything about the meds adjustment to my boss, but I really did not want to let my slips in the work environment-- clerical and geographical-- go without comment on my part. Also, if there are unfortunate side effects coming up with any change in medication... I don't want to try and cover. Does that make sense? Also, this openness goes along with my determination to just be very forthright about my condition. Destigmatizing Depression. I cannot tell the difference today between feeling unwell mentally and feeling unwell physically. I am missing work because of illness. I am shaky and hot and my stomach feels queasy. Also very tired. If Spouse had not been ill for over a week with a similar crappy illness I might have just forced myself to go into work. But if this is the beginning of whatever he has, I do NOT want to share it. I plan to go to bed around 5 pm.
